Hi Dwane

Which part of the Bulgaria do you run the furnishing company? Is there a website that we can look at the furniture pack you offer? Please post it online or let me know how we can contact you. Thanks

I am also looking to furnish a one bedroom apartment in Bansko , many companies only seem interested if you are wanting numerous apartments furnishing , I would be very grateful for any info on companies that you have found to be good value and helpful , do you think its better to go back to Bansko and find local companies , it seems via the internet the cheapest furnishings for a one bed apt are about £5000 which seems expensive for what you get and you know what the quality will be like , any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi All,

We're an Irish couple who run a furnishing company in Bulgaria. I'm not jumping into the post to try and get everyone to buy from but just to offer some advise if I may.
Firstly I agree, there are a lot of companies that are just crazy prices.
If you want to buy diectly yourself from the shops you need to do a few things. Firstly, if your apartment is in Bansko, don't buy from the furniture shops in Bansko, they allready have hyped up prices because the property rates are higher and they already have there prices up because of there market. So try to go to towns that are not resorts. Secondly, try and have someone with you that has at least a little Bulgarian, most parts of Bulgaria have very few English speaking staff if any at all. Allow up to three weeks for delivery of your blinds and longer if you need a kitchen. Make sure you tell them what floor your apartment is on, some charge extra for bringing the furniture upstairs. You need to examine all electrical items, for small Items see that they are working in the shops before you leave, for bigger ones like fridges check the body for damage. This is normal practise as the return policies are very different to Ireland and the UK.
Also please keep in mind, Electrics here are very close to the price of electrics in Ireland and the UK, the Furniture is cheaper, but you get what you pay for so check the quality as well as the price.

One last thing, if you go to a shop with a Bulgarian friend..stand back and let them talk, the price will go up each and everytime you speak English!!

We offer our help and advise to anyone who needs it, Don't hesitate to contact us.

Hi, I'm looking into furniture packages for my studio apartment in Bansko, and would really be interested in any info you have about a local shop that I can buy locally priced furniture from. All the packages that I have seen look very expensive to me?!
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
