I have never bought an offplan property before and it is refreshing to see the thing actually taking shape. Over the past year I have seen it go from a hole in the ground that was the foundations to an almost complete apartment block.

So far I have been happy with the professionalism of Bulgarian Properties. We have had the odd disagreement but then that is to be expected. Nothing too serious. The official date for the completion of my apartment is May 2007 so they are well ahead of schedule too, which is a big bonus.

As soon as the apartment is finished, which should hbappen with a month or so, I plan to visit Bansko. At least then I’ll have somewhere to stay. I will then bring the kids when the outdoor pool for Redenka has been completed which should be sometime over the next few months.

As long as the place has a pool nearby then I know my kids will be kept occupied all day long.

I’ll keep the blog updated as things reach the final stages and beyond. Can’t wait to take the first pics of my completed apartment.

My Apartment in Bansko Almost Finished

My apartment is due to be completed next month and all in all I have been quite happy with the process.

This is my first delving into property investment so it has not been all plain sailing in terms of keeping my nerve but I’m glad I took the plunge when I did as the price have gone up quite a bit since I paid my deposit last December.

When I signed the contract for my property in Redenka Lodge the price was 885 Euros per square foot. The new properties sold by Bulgarian properties at Grand Redenka are being marketed at 1290 per square foot.

Anyway, I’m waiting on a price list for the furniture package that I will pay to have fitted. Once that’s done and I’ve paid the final payment then we’re good to go.

I have just been given a sneak peek at the rental contract put forward by Bulgarian Properties and I’m not happy to say the least. By the looks of this Bansko forum post either, I’m not the only one.

All the more reason to go alone and make sure my website draws in some visitors. I am planning to add a property section to this site where you can add your own Bansko property complete with pictures and your contact info. I will probably make this a free service for the first year.

I also plan to make it completely free for all owners at Redenka.
