Over 3/4 of a million people visited Bansko Ski Resort the last ski season which is great news for property owners as ourselves.
This increasing rise in tourist numbers bodes well for the future of Bansko. The resort has seen a steady increase in popularity over the past number of years and looks set to continue to rise.
Bulgaria has been given a date of January 2007 to join the European Union which will raise the confidence of visitors considering a visit to the former Eastern Bloc country.
Over 800,000 Tourists Expected to Visit Bulgaria’s Ski Resort of Bansko This Season

‘At the moment all ski equipment is being subjected to reparation and maintenance. We are working hard in the mountain in view of the preparation for the winter season’, the Mayor of the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko Aleksandar Kravarov said in an interview for FOCUS Radio – Pirin.
Kravarov added that a shooting ground and a winter stadium are being constructed for this year’s European biathlon championship.
More than 750 000 tourists visited Bansko and it’s ski slopes last year. Expectations are that this year the number of tourists would be much higher.
